An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
